May, Summer Plans and Chocolate

Hello! The weather is exceptionally fine today. I am in a t-shirt and have a window open. Seriously, can you believe Britain can have nice weather like this in Spring? No, I can't either.

I know it's already 5 days into May but still, Happy May! I am sure everyone is probably going to have a better May than me since I have loads of exams. Speaking of which, I start my exams on the 10th! It's like 5 days away and I am super freaked out because...... it's 5 days away! I have been revising like hell but exams are still really nerve-wrecking.

It is a little early but have any of you got plans for the summer? I just received a letter like 2 days ago that I got accepted to this summer school. I was super excited. Okay, it's only a 3 days Food Science summer school so it sounds boring to most people. However, it seems like a lot of fun to me and I can't wait! I am also planning to do some work shadowing experience placement or get a summer job. It's quite hard but I want to make the most of my summer since it will be the end of all my stressful exams.

Have you tried these babies?

or

If you haven't had these babies yet, you should try them. You would be pleasantly surprised. Cadbury's Crispello reminds me of Kinder Bueno, bar the hazelnut filling. Kinder Bueno still tastes the best, but Crispello are quite nice. I swear I am the only person who doesn't understand the name Crispello. Why Crispello? Now I get to the Popcorn. When I first saw them I was like: Oh, this look interesting. I should try it. Then I tried them and I was like: I am not entirely sure if I like them or not. I mean they tastes awesome cos it's toffee-coated popcorn, extra coated in chocolate. I am still not sure if I like them or not, but they taste good.

It's Bank Holiday tomorrow! YAY~ Who doesn't love an extra day to whatever you want?!

It's Holiday Time! (My Past 2 Weeks)

Hey! It's been a while since I have been catching up to you guys. Before I knew it, it's already Easter holiday and Easter Sunday has already passed. But still YAY! for the 2 weeks of free time where I can sit around and do NOTHING! As depressing as it is, I still have to revise because before I knew it again, it's only like a month before exam season starts.

Anyway, if you continue reading... I should warn you it's just me rambling on about all the stuff I have been up to.

So first thing first... I TURNED 16! (I will have a post tomorrow for everything relating to my birthday ^_^)

Let's back up a little bit. I finished my Art exam! Yeah, school was a bit evil since I had Art exam the day straight after my French exam. I still have loads of coursework to clean up and other project works but at least those 12 hours are out of the way.

Fast forward a few days and it's the end of term and it's a half day at my school. It was so annoying that school finishes the day after my birthday. NOT COOL! Anyway, the lesson of the day was: DO NOT PLAY WITH SHARP OBJECTS! Yep, I learnt my lesson. I mean who the hell turns 16 and still cuts herself while playing with a sharp object?! ME -_- I somehow managed to cut my palm and thumb. It was that bad an injury but PE teachers are evil. I still have to play hockey and my cut split open. Screw hockey. But to be fair, I am pretty clumsy with sharp objects.

The week before and during moi birthday, the weather was terrible. It continued until like yesterday. It was cold and it was snowing. Seriously, snowing in March and April?! It's like raining rabbits and ponies but in snow terms. Spring should be like this:

But it was more like this:

I am exaggerating slightly but you get my drift.

However, the weather was nice on Saturday when my family and I went out.

So my holiday started and I have spent like 5 days relaxing and recharging. Now I am sort of in full on revision mode. Plus catching up on my lovely bloggie.

Oh, and I started watching The Mentalist! It is so good! Okay, I am only on like the 5th episode of the first season but I am loving it so far. I love any crime relating dramas. They are always the best.

Talking Nonsense When I Should Be Revising

Hey!

I am just watching videos on Youtube and reading when really I should be revising. But revising is no fun.

Anyway, I just want to talk about something really weird that happened today. It's been snowing and hailing on and off all day. Seriously, it's mid-March and snowing. -insert scientific reasoning- But it's insane! Apart from that, I received a letter from my GP's medical centre wishing me a Happy Birthday (my birthday is two weeks away). No, it doesn't stop there. It gets weirder. They also attached two A4 posters on "Improving your self esteem". I mean: really... WHAT?! -weirdly shocked face- I really don't see what turning 16 has to do with your self esteem of anything. Apparently according to my mum, it's cute. I mean, it is quite funny. BUT WEIRD!

Oh oh OH! I watched Cloud Atlas during the weekend! It's such a good movie! It is also very weird and disturbing at the same time. Nonetheless, the story about Frobisher was so touching and heartbreaking at the same time. It sort of tore my heart out at the end. Ben Whishaw was amazing, such a great actor. Seriously, I recommend watching the film. It's good, but beware it's rated 15 and there are disturbing bits. Cloud Atlas Sextet is a beautiful piece of music. It's stunningly beautiful. I learnt how to play it on the piano and I love it. Now go and Youtube it. Listen to it and you will see how beautiful it is.

What's Up?! (Warning: FOOOOOOD!)

Hey!

What have you guys been up to? So I am having my half term week off . -raise the roof- It's been ages since I have blogged. BUT! I did have  tacos yesterday. Yes, they tasted awesome. Along with half a chicken burrito. That was tasty too, but seriously spicy. However, still YAY for a day trip to Durham with my family.

Tacos! Who doesn't love tacos?!

I have pretty much been staying at home and recharging myself. Yep, I have done nothing useful what so ever. Unless you count downloading more music, reading and sleeping. Oh, but I did watch Breaking Dawn Part 2. I have to admit, it was a pretty decent movie considering Part 1 was really quite boring. I still prefer the books though. I have also been finishing the cookies I got from Asda left over from Val's Day which was a while ago. But but but, they were nice chocolate chipped shortbread and bless them they were heart shaped.

Yeah, these are rectangular but whatever, close enough.

I feel like all I talked about was food in this post, and it's pretty much just food. But it's just a little update to what I do when I get a break, which is eat an insane amount of junk.

Anyway, have a nice weekend!

Can't Think of A Title So... Equilibrium?

Hey!

Don't ask about the title. I have no idea either.

It feels like it has been forever since I have done a half decent post with words. School needs to be less stressful and give us time to do things we want. Blargh.

It's been so cold recently and it snowed today. I feel like half of my posts is about snow. I can't help it. The weather has just been like that. But I think it's just slush now. I think I am starting to get bored of the snow, like people in Canada.

So... what have I been up to for the past week?... -put on thinking cap-

-put on a thinking top hat on top of the cap- I have no memory. I don't remember anything.  (I know I look ridiculous.)

I had like 3 tests and quite a few homeworks. I sort of tidied my room. I got lots chocolates and sweets because I am a snack junkie. I had parents' evening yesterday. (I am not even going to get into that.) I have been doing things that required using my brain, and all the jazz.  (Hence the thinking cap and top hat.)

I did get incredibly bored last Friday night (No, I am not going to break into the Katy Perry song because I don't like it) and I couldn't really be asked to do homeworks or read or play the piano and stuff so I ended up making cookies. By which I actually mean just making the cookie dough, not baking it all.  I have baked about 1/4 of it? I think I made too much cookie dough, considering I have made like 14 cookies already. The first batch was burnt, pretty badly because I set the temperature too high at the beginning. The second batch, which turned out okay was for my cousins and stuff and they liked it. I am going to make a batch for my friends tomorrow because I said I would for today, but I haven't. No, it's not for Valentine's Day, just no. They were Chocolate Sugar Cookies which didn't turn out very sweet, so everyone liked it. Yay for cookies not being ridiculously sweet. Yeah, mine weren't heart-shaped because 1. I am not making them for Valentine's Day and 2. I just couldn't shape them. They turned out like a very, very bad oval-shaped... thing.

My uncle, aunt and 2 cousins came to visit my family and I. I haven't seen them since the summer of 2011. So I guess it's been a while. They stayed with us on Monday and Tuesday (Yesterday) night. My uncle and aunt are really nice people and have an... interesting sense of humour. My sister and I got on really well with my cousins even though we haven't really talked in ages. We did have a lot of food. Like seriously A LOT. I talked a lot about films with my uncle because he is into film and knows most of the awesome films. We did talk about Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy because it's a great movie and... it's a great movie. They also gave us lots of awesome presents from Hong Kong. I am really enjoying my magazines and food and all the other jazz.

OH MY GOSH! It's been 3 weeks since I have done a music post. I feel so bad and like a lazy ass. Okay, I am lazy but not an ass and I should have done one. Considering I put like 420-something songs on my iPod on Saturday, I should do a post on some (definitely not all) music that I added. It will be a stupidly long post. Probably. Or not. That will be up on Friday. I think. Because it's the LOVELY Valentine's Day tomorrow. Yes, the LOVELY is me being sarcastic.

2013 Resolutions

Hello my refreshed earthling babies!

2013 is like officially upon us. So... it's time for resolutions. Okay, I have to admit I suck at resolutions. They are usually forgotten immediately. I know I am bad at it but I am determine to actually stick to it this year. Yes, I have decided to do a blog post to remind myself as well as the big "poster" on the wall above my desk.

1.  ACTUALLY eat healthier and lose some weight

I have gained an incredible amount of weight last year. I just have to lost those weight and I want to do that by eating healthy. Yes, holiday chocolates or tasty snacks in general are my weakness. I want to actually get out of the habit of eating junk when I am bored, which I am sure everyone does. Who doesn't snack when they have time?!

2. Read. Read. Read.

I used to read a lot when I was a kid. But I somehow hasn't been reading for the past 3 years or so in my free time. My excuse would be that school work has been hell and I don't have time. That is partly true but I really want to start reading again. I love reading. It's a big hobby of mine, and I am not just saying that to "sound good". I am planning on participating in Book Challenges to encourage and motivate myself. I haven't decided which ones to go with, but I will do a post as soon as I have decided. Since I love YA novels, it leads me on to...

3. Begin writing my story

My love for YA friction, especially science friction and romance, is HUGE and makes me want to write my story. I want to say I am aspiring to be a writer but I am not. I have an (in my opinion) amazing idea for a story and I want to write it. I am not trying to sound pompous or anything, I just want a chance to express my creativity and imagination through a story I create. I hope you guys can support me.

4. Regularly blog - post twice a week?

I know I have only started blogging two months ago. But I really do love blogging. It allows me to express myself and my thoughts through words for other people to read. I am hoping and think I might be able to pull off posting twice a week. At least twice anyway.

5. Exercise! Mebbez (Maybe) 3 hours outside of school?

I am a lazy person. I admit that. I do the bare minimum exercise I can. I hate doing anything physical. However, exercise contributes to staying healthy and it's good for you. So I have decided to actually start doing more exercise this year. I do like 3 hours of exercise at school anyway, but I want to do things outside of school. I quitted ballet dancing last year. I am planning on starting contemporary and hip hop dancing this year. Not sure how well it will go, but I want to give it a try. I am also thinking of starting yoga with my mother and sister. It's suppose to be good for you body and soul. So why not give it a try?

I probably have more I would want to achieve this year, but those are all the ones I really want to accomplish. I hope everyone enjoyed 2012 and is embracing 2013 with good resolutions. Talk to ya later~

-ing #01

Before I start this post... IT'S DECEMBER! So... Christmas! woo! Winter is like official. (Just thought it was worth mentioning.)

International Nutella Gala!!!

Joking! I do love Nutella though. -ing is basically I tell you guys what I have been... well, for example, reading at the moment. Hence the -ing ending. Not the most creative segment name, I know. But it will do.

Reading: Enchanted by Alethea Kontis

I am about... 70 pages into this book? It's 305 pages long... so I really am not that far in. It is quite a light and sweet read. It has more than one fairytale aspect in, so it's very fun.

I can't actually get this book where I live, so I ordered it hardback on bookdepository.co.uk. They have free shipping, so it's brilliant.

Check out the reviews of Enchanted on Goodreads (Click on the word). I am not sure whether I will write a review on this after I finish or not, since I am awful at writing reviews. I also have a lot of books on my to-read list... however, this is not great since I am awfully slow at reading.

Watching (TV series): Once Upon A Time

I AM FRICKING IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW! I absolutely adore it. It's totally up my street in terms of story.

I still need to see the 9th episode of season 2 (which airs tonight) but I am currently in tears (I am not, but that is just me being me and very dramatic). This winter finale is killing me. 4 weeks! That's 4 weeks of no fun! How can it takes 4 weeks to resume the series? I just.... am addicted to this series. If you haven't seen or heard of it:
  1. You have not lived
  2. You need to check it out. NOW! Immediately.
  3. WATCH IT! and LOVE IT
My favourite characters are definitely Belle, Rumplestiltskin, Snow (NOT Mary Margaret) and Ruby/Red. They are so awesome for so many different reasons. Watch the show and you will see why. For the record, this show has a habit of having cute guys. Just so you are warned.

If you haven't realise already, there is a pattern. I love my fairytales. I love them so much! I love it when they remake a fairytale with twists and surprises, since I am very good at predicating plots.

Magazine-ing: Company December 2012

I love my fashion magazines. I am not a fashion guru and is "dope" with fashion, but I do like reading fashion magazines. Sometimes Korean or Japanese fashion, but those are hard to get my hands on. So I usually stick to ones I can get at supermarkets.

Company is one of my favourite high-street fashion magazine. I have a lot of their volumes, like the February one and the September one. I just really like the content that they have and the price is so reasonable.

Searching: Christmas presents

If I have an idea, I am great at presents. If I don't have a single clue, I am terrible.

It's coming up to Christmas soon and I really need to get my friends and family presents. I have no luck right now. I just don't know what to get everyone. But I am searching and hopefully, I will be a present master! mwahahahahahaha. I have considered making people things, but I am really bad. So that's one option down, 67 more to go.

I also just finished my truly horrible week of mock exams! YAY! All the revising and stuff was just so stressful and I am just so glad that's over and done with. Having 7 exams was not easy. Just... fingers crossed that my results turn out okay.

That is all. Byebye~
