A Little Bit of Awesome Goes a Long Way

Hey!

Want to know how "bubbly" and "lively" I am? Well, here it is.

Erin and I were sort of late to afternoon registration. We were about 2 minutes late. So we walked in and Beth told us to tell our form supervisor we were here so he would mark us present. Then I went and did something "hilarious" (according to my entire class). I went up to my teacher and spread my arms out and went: Hi Sir! Like seriously a bit too cheerful for a Thursday afternoon. The entire class burst into laughter and I was sent out by my teacher.

The best bit is yet to come.

So I was standing outside having no idea what he is going to say to me and the entire class laughing. I have to admit, it's not the proudest moment of my life. About a minute later, my form supervisor came out and wait-for-it... he said: Hi Ka-Ching! and gave me the jazz hands. Well, sort of just putting his hands up. His expression was so defeated. Defeated is the only word you can really use in that situation. It was seriously funny, especially after just about every person in the class asked me what happened and I told them and they laughed really hard. It was hilarious because my form supervisor usually appears really strict but is actually secretly awesome. Like ninja awesome with the ninja bit. He has an interesting sense of humour. Apparently the randomness and hilariousness of that made people's day.

Anyway the important thing is, that's exactly how you become the class clown. I guarantee it will work, because I am pretty sure I am labelled that now. I am still being laughed at. I am not even going to go into my previous incident with the door. That was sheer embarrassment.

Here's Erin and I's daily dose of randomness!

Erin: I need one of those coffee shots.
Me: I smell carrots.

-thumbs up to us for being weird as hell-

My conclusion of the "incident" and lesson of the day: A little bit of awesome/laughter goes a long way.

Talking Nonsense When I Should Be Revising

Hey!

I am just watching videos on Youtube and reading when really I should be revising. But revising is no fun.

Anyway, I just want to talk about something really weird that happened today. It's been snowing and hailing on and off all day. Seriously, it's mid-March and snowing. -insert scientific reasoning- But it's insane! Apart from that, I received a letter from my GP's medical centre wishing me a Happy Birthday (my birthday is two weeks away). No, it doesn't stop there. It gets weirder. They also attached two A4 posters on "Improving your self esteem". I mean: really... WHAT?! -weirdly shocked face- I really don't see what turning 16 has to do with your self esteem of anything. Apparently according to my mum, it's cute. I mean, it is quite funny. BUT WEIRD!

Oh oh OH! I watched Cloud Atlas during the weekend! It's such a good movie! It is also very weird and disturbing at the same time. Nonetheless, the story about Frobisher was so touching and heartbreaking at the same time. It sort of tore my heart out at the end. Ben Whishaw was amazing, such a great actor. Seriously, I recommend watching the film. It's good, but beware it's rated 15 and there are disturbing bits. Cloud Atlas Sextet is a beautiful piece of music. It's stunningly beautiful. I learnt how to play it on the piano and I love it. Now go and Youtube it. Listen to it and you will see how beautiful it is.

25 Facts About Moi

1. I can sing whenever, wherever. You can say a random word and I can and will break into a song.

2. I am an incredibly fussy eater.

3. The sun makes me sleepy.

4. I get paper cuts on my hands easily. I currently have 3 small cuts on each hand. It's probably because I have quite thin skin on my hand or I just attract sharp objects.

5. When I am cold, hungry, wet and tired, I am a ticking time bomb.

6. I have awful selective hearing and really short attention span.

7. Music is my happy place. I need music in my life.

8. I fell off a stage once when I was in year 3. I was completely unharmed. *touch wood*

9. I don't like gum, polo or anything even vaguely minty.

10. I love the smell of old books. I can stay in an old book store forever. Plus they always have great books.

11. I love corners of a room. I like sitting in a corner, alone, and think.

12. I am not ticklish at all. Yes, I have no soul.

13. I bite my nails a lot, despite being a girl. It's a habit I picked up when I got nervous. That is also how I became a nail polish junkie.

14. I have a 2 mm permanent black bruised stripe on the right of my 4th finger on my left hand. I have had it since I got my finger trapped between a metal door when I was 3.

15. I am the person whose laugh is funnier than the joke. Everyone will laugh at my laugh.

16. I want to burn things, but many people ban me from it. Especially my friends since the time I accidently set some paper on fire in the middle of a biology practical.

17. I hate mushrooms. The smell, taste, texture and everything. This is because my mum once fed me mushrooms everyday for an entire month. It's a nightmare. I have refused to eat mushrooms since then.

18. I can just drink green tea or lemon iced tea for the rest of my life. Okay, they may break my stomach. But you get my drift that I love them.

19. I have probably the worst travel/motion sickness ever. Except roller coasters. I love roller coasters, hence I can go on them 3 times before I vomit.

20. I hate and refuse to wear a skirt or dress. They are really impractical. But I do wear a skirt to school because the school trousers are so hideous that it breaks my fashion meter.

21. I don't get the chance very often but I love counting stars.

22. I have the messiest room ever. I worship chaos in my room. Even when my mum is shouting my head off.

23. I am terrible at knitting and sewing. I can't do either to save my life.

24. Belle was and still is my favourite Disney princess in terms of personality and looks.

25. I have a little obsession with cute notebooks. I have a collection of them. Whenever I see an affordable cute notebook, I will buy it. But I will never use it because I am scared of ruining the pretty pages. I have a similar obsession with cute stickers. I guess it's something I got from my mum.

A Random Epiphany

Narwhale, Narwhale swimming in the ocean causing a commotion...

OH MY GOSH!

Narwhale is secretly a jellyfish in disguise!!!

# Me and Erin's awesome crack in the middle of PE while counting fluff. (We are just that awesome.)
Was it the pun? I feel like it was the pun!

Slush

It stopped snowing! -sad face- It has been snowing on and off (again) heavily since my last post. Most of the snow on the street or paths have turned into grey, slushy slush. The only way I could navigate through the slush is with wellies. I was wearing my old brown wedges before but wellies turns out to be a better option. The funny thing is I brought these wellies 2 years ago, during the last blizzard. (It totally was a blizzard. I think, anyway.) I have started saying snow like s(ch)now. Like the s pronounced as sch instead of an s. I am not sure I entirely make sense here. Oh well.

<--- You like my pink wellies?
          Yeah, I like them too.

Pressies!

Happy 12.01.2013!

I know it's already January, but it is never too late for Christmas presents! My lovely Aunt Phoebe, who lives in Hong Kong sent my family adorable Christmas presents again. She send us presents for Christmas every year, with awesome stuff she usually gets from City'super. So it means that they are awesome Japanese goodies. For 2010, she sent us cozy shoulder "cardigans" (I have no idea what you call those things) and for 2011, she got us cool travel mugs which we can decorate ourselves. But what she got me this year is just AWESOME. It's legend---wait for it---dary! (Quoting Barney Stinson any day.)

-Drum roll- They are fingerless gloves!

Original Packaging

I received the gloves a few days ago, but I haven't gotten the chance to wear them until today. And Oh My Gosh, they are incredibly warm. They keep my hands surprisingly warm and look stylish at the same time. What more could I have ask for in gloves?! They are by a Japanese brand called Stream (everyday nice socks). Not sure if they are new or not, but I think they are awesome. My little sister chose the light brown ones while my mother got the darker brown ones. I am special with blue. -cheesy grin-

Yes, that is my hand. And Yes, I did do my nails awesomely. I got sort of bored last night and decided to go crazy with crackles. I love those at the moment. I just went with a dark navy base colour and put white, gold or silver crackles on top. I think they turned out quite well. I wear the ring all the time. My mum gave it to me for Christmas 2 years back, and she had brought it ages ago (when she was way younger). I love it, it's really pretty.

And this is me. Cheerio! I don't think I have posted a picture of myself before, but here it is. The gloves just go well with anything. I was trying out a middle parting today. I usually have my hair parted far right. I wanted to know if I would suit a middle parting so I was like: "Why not I just try it?". So that's that. My conclusion (with the help of Beth and my family) is that I do suit a middle parting. Well, I don't look bad anyway. What do you think?

I spent most of my day today with Beth and we exchanged Christmas presents, watched a great movie which I probably will talk about at some point on my blog and we played The Sims 3 (I made a fairy!). It's a belated Christmas gift exchange but 1. It's better late than never and 2. We haven't had time earlier.

So she got me a few things and they are all amazing. She knows me too so well. She got me candles! I love candles. I wanted to get some during winter sale but my parents were afraid I would burn the house down so they refused to let me buy any. Since Beth got me some, they have no excuse. (So HA! In parent's faces!)

L to R: Cinnamon Sticks. Ginger Cookies.Snowcapped Pine. Vanilla Creme

They all smell delicious! I just want to eat them. Not literally. But the ginger cookies and the cinnamon sticks are gorgeous. I didn't think I would like spices smells so much. So yay! for having candles now.

Knowing that I am a bit of an art fanatic, she got me arty stuff. She got me a new A4 sketchbook and a 12" wooden manikin. The manikin is going to come in so handy, since I have a semi-realistic style of drawing. I am going to make good use of both of those as I have recently finished my last A4 sketchbook. She also got me a nice blue A5 notebook which I am not sure what I will use it for yet, but I will make good use of it.

Last but definitely not least... -more drum roll- The Sims 3! I am not a gaming nerd, unlike most of my friends, I hardly play games because 1. My dad doesn't really let me and 2. I prefer doing other things. However, there were two games that I have really wanted for a while now. They are Portal and The Sims 3. Beth gave me her extra copy of Sims 3! (I did threw a big hug at her) So now I can play The Sims 3 when I get bored. And I will have all the expansion packs. I am actually doing my "Oh Yeah!" dance right now. I am sure I look hilarious.

Hope you guys had a lovely 2nd Saturday of January!

2013 Resolutions

Hello my refreshed earthling babies!

2013 is like officially upon us. So... it's time for resolutions. Okay, I have to admit I suck at resolutions. They are usually forgotten immediately. I know I am bad at it but I am determine to actually stick to it this year. Yes, I have decided to do a blog post to remind myself as well as the big "poster" on the wall above my desk.

1.  ACTUALLY eat healthier and lose some weight

I have gained an incredible amount of weight last year. I just have to lost those weight and I want to do that by eating healthy. Yes, holiday chocolates or tasty snacks in general are my weakness. I want to actually get out of the habit of eating junk when I am bored, which I am sure everyone does. Who doesn't snack when they have time?!

2. Read. Read. Read.

I used to read a lot when I was a kid. But I somehow hasn't been reading for the past 3 years or so in my free time. My excuse would be that school work has been hell and I don't have time. That is partly true but I really want to start reading again. I love reading. It's a big hobby of mine, and I am not just saying that to "sound good". I am planning on participating in Book Challenges to encourage and motivate myself. I haven't decided which ones to go with, but I will do a post as soon as I have decided. Since I love YA novels, it leads me on to...

3. Begin writing my story

My love for YA friction, especially science friction and romance, is HUGE and makes me want to write my story. I want to say I am aspiring to be a writer but I am not. I have an (in my opinion) amazing idea for a story and I want to write it. I am not trying to sound pompous or anything, I just want a chance to express my creativity and imagination through a story I create. I hope you guys can support me.

4. Regularly blog - post twice a week?

I know I have only started blogging two months ago. But I really do love blogging. It allows me to express myself and my thoughts through words for other people to read. I am hoping and think I might be able to pull off posting twice a week. At least twice anyway.

5. Exercise! Mebbez (Maybe) 3 hours outside of school?

I am a lazy person. I admit that. I do the bare minimum exercise I can. I hate doing anything physical. However, exercise contributes to staying healthy and it's good for you. So I have decided to actually start doing more exercise this year. I do like 3 hours of exercise at school anyway, but I want to do things outside of school. I quitted ballet dancing last year. I am planning on starting contemporary and hip hop dancing this year. Not sure how well it will go, but I want to give it a try. I am also thinking of starting yoga with my mother and sister. It's suppose to be good for you body and soul. So why not give it a try?

I probably have more I would want to achieve this year, but those are all the ones I really want to accomplish. I hope everyone enjoyed 2012 and is embracing 2013 with good resolutions. Talk to ya later~

Happy 21.12.12 Apocalypse! I'm Joking

First thing first, I don't believe it's the end of the world today.

I am just chilling at home right now, TGIF! Got my favourite flavour Pringles today, Texas BBQ Sauce. It's so good!

I had a weird cup of hot chocolate today. Yes, I did make it myself. It didn't taste weird, although it wasn't sweet enough. The weird thing was that my dad walked past and said: Why you drinking coffee? Then my little sister walked past and said: Why you drinking warm Ribena? I was like: -unimpressed- IT'S HOT CHOCOLATE!

I haven't done my nails in months because school doesn't allow it but I have finally found time to do my nails! Now it's all green and red and christmasy. I also did my little sister's nails. Yes, she called me weird again. I don't do my nails in a logical pattern. Tbf, I don't do much logically. I also got her some new nail polishes as Christmas presents. They are all sparkly and cute.

Now I feel like drawing, I might go and do that.

Motivational Poster, GO!
Yes, live life to the fullest because we are living.

I'm Officially In Holiday Spirit And No More School This Year!

Today has been the first official day of my lovely Christmas holiday. Yes, I love staying at home, lazying around and doing absolutely nothing.

Actually, it's more like I have been confined to my house for the next few days. I actually injured my right heel/ankle two days ago, which is unfortunate. If you are wondering what happened, a metal door at school smashed into the back of my ankle and blood just soaked my tights. So yeah, I have been having difficulties walking for the past few days since it's really painful. I know you are all gasping at the horror of how it sounds but it's seriously not that bad. It's not that painful. The wound isn't big at all, but it does cause pain when I put my heel down. My dad thought I was made of tofu when he sprayed those spray-on plaster thing onto my wound. I was like: NO Dad, I am not 4 any more. I have a high tolerance to pain, which is slightly unnerving. So I am resting at home for a few days.

Anyway, enough of the horrible stuff... IT'S CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY!!!!! woooo~

I am super exciting because
1. There is going to be no school for like 3 weeks.
2. Christmas
and 3. New Year

My school broke up (ended) at 12 noon yesterday. My metro had a stupid 20 minutes delay in the morning so I ended up with freezing toes because school black pumps does not keep your feet warm. School was interesting. My class played Articulate in English, which is the only lesson I got, because my teacher is so nice and my class is just awesome. I got applauded just because I was an awesome person. Yes yes, I am very very awesome. Then I got my end of term report which was quite good. I was happy with it, mainly because all the grades were based upon our mock exam results and I did quite well in that. Choir performance at the last assembly was interesting. Yes, I am in the choir. We sang a carol and the entire school sang like a Christmas medley. That was interesting. I can not put it any other way. I don't feel anxiety like a normal person would. I have little emotions, so if sometime upsets me, you sure know it's awful. You have been warned. All in all, it was a good end to this year at school.

I basically got home and did sod all. Okay, I spend ages on the internet looking through random stuff... like what good YA books came out this year and other people's blogs etc and listened music and talked to my friends until really late. My friend, Erin, just went to South Africa this morning for Christmas. I bet she is going to have lots of fun. I hope so too. I also talked about Santa with another friend. Now that was fun. It's hilarious when you talk about Santa in general anyway.

I woke up at like 1 o'clock in the afternoon today because I am so tired. School just drains any energy you have got in you. I just spent my entire day watching random videos and stuff. Nothing interesting at all. I just wanted to let you guys know what I have been up to. Hope this post didn't bore you that much.

A pretty photo I found to kick-start the holiday. ^_^

12 December 2012

It's 12.12.12!

Happy 12. 12. 12!!!

I don't know how you have enjoyed this awesome day but I have been stuck in school. It  wasn't all that bad. My Geography and Games teachers were so nice and let me off like loads of work. So YAY for that! I had a good Christmas-themed dancing class. I just finished the new Terry's chocolate orange ice cream. I have also been obsessed with L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole today. It's such a sweet song and it's just been stuck in my head all day. But yeah, life has been generally good.

Here's something delightful to end the awesome day ^_^

Movie? Madness Monday: Pitch Perfect

Yeah yeah, it's Monday and it's suppose to be music. But I haven't really been music-ing that much for the past week and I thought: well, movie begins with a M. I know film is better? I like movie though, they mean the same thing. So, since I watched a movie on Saturday and it was great and I don't have any music things to say...... new segment! and yes, it's called Movie Madness Monday. Actually, less of a new segment and more of Madness Monday can swap between movie and music.

Pitch Perfect

#GETPITCHSLAPPED

Release: 2012

Genre: Music, Comedy, Romance

Starring: Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp

Storyline: The Barden Bellas are a collegiate, all-girls a cappella singing group thriving on female pop songs and their perfect looks. After a disastrous failing at last year's finals, they are forced to regroup. Among the new recruits is freshman Beca, an independent, aspiring DJ with no interest in the college life. But after she meets Jesse, from the rival all-male a cappella group, Beca has a new outlook and takes it upon herself to help the Bellas find their new look and sound and get back into the competition.

This movie is so random and strange but oddly hilarious. I actually had a great time watching this. Although it was predictable, it was overall very enjoyable. The predictable aspect maybe due to the fact that I have seen a lot of rom-com and they get VERY predictable since they are all the same. Like the plot line goes:

Normal--Increase in happiness--PEAK--Decrease by 30%--Goes back up and TADA! Happily every after

It's probably easier to understand if you draw a line on a graph, but I am too lazy to bother with that.

Beca and Jesse in the movie were just so cute! I was awwww-ing at the end cos it was adorable. Watch it, then you would know what I mean.

I loved Anna Kendrick in it. I didn't know she can sing, and she was really good! I like her normally but the character and her was such a good match, she did an amazing job. I feel like I haven't seen Brittany Snow in a movie in ages. That is probably just me but she was great. Not really used to her with the browny hair though.

Awesomeness: Singing. Hilarious. Just odd.

Not-so-awesomeness: Predictable. Weird and awkward.

Rating: 7.8 / 10

Guess what? YOU JUST GOT INCEPTIONED! Sorry, that was a bit dramatic. But seriously, I said I changed it to movie but the movie is about music! HA! I am just so awesome like this.

Let It Snow~

It's been so cold lately and I was planning on shouting at the sky if it doesn't snow soon.

But but but... IT SNOWED! woo~ (Random raving and raising the roof and dancing)

So I was in the middle of lesson when the snow started and my entire class was like... SNOW! and gosh! It was snowing so heavily. Well, on and off. Mostly very snowy. The ground even started layering snow. (Not sure if layer is the word, but you get what I mean?)

At lunchtime, I literally asked my friends what christmasy songs are related to snowing and my friend was like :O There are loads! and I was like: -_- I know, I just can't remember. Then we just started singing Let It Snow and Winter Wonderland. And White Christmas. Given that I can't sing very well and usually sing really flatly, I failed. I couldn't even remember the lyrics to Winter Wonderland. Oh well, Christmas carols and songs are slightly over-rated. Plus our school did randomly play christmasy song for like 2 hours last Thursday.

However, the snow is so pretty! The cold and wet, less so. Seriously, the snow is so pretty and pale and white. White is kind of my favourite colour? It's very clean and neat in my opinion. Perhaps it was the fact that we were all warm and cosy inside so my friend and I just sort of stared out the window and was like SNOW!

Snow = Awesome. Enough said.

I should really go outside and build a snowman, because I think there probably is enough snow. Being as lazy as I am, I prefer staying indoor, with a cup of hot green tea, which is what I am doing. So it's all good.

Anyway, the weather forecast say that it will snow tomorrow as well. So yay! (Not that I really trust weather forecasts) It had stopped snowing for like 2 hours. Fingers crossed it starts snowing again.

What the snow looks like outside my living room. So pretty!

P.S. I went to Belgium (school trip) to the battlefields. Actually, maybe it was Northern France? Well, we went to both. Basically, we were on a battlefield and it just started snowing. It was late October but I was like... YAY! But less so because I was on the middle of a field, all cold and wet and outdoors and I really just... wasn't going to embrace the snow. Who would want to freeze to death?

P.P.S. I don't even want to imagine the mushy slush when the snow starts to melt. It's all brown and gross. Let's just hope it snows for a while.

In Chingy's Wonderland: Banana bunnies

1. Let me introduce this brilliant segment of my blog.

This is the first and in my opinion, the best segment. This segment, "In Chingy's Wonderland", is essentially what the title says. I call my crazy mind the ''Wonderland'', which might not make a lot of sense, but I personally think it works. Especially when I sing to my fairies. This entire segment would be where I talk about anything random and awesome in my mind, whether I just made it up or it actually exists.

2. To kick start the first "In Chingy's wonderland"......

Banana bunnies >w<

On one fine Sunday, in the wonders of my mind, I created... THE BANANA BUNNIES! They are, as their name suggests, bunnies with bananas. They are adorable, fluffy bunnies which eats bananas! They come in the colours: white, blonde and grey. But be cautious. If you get on their bad sides, they will most probably bite your heads off.  They will reappear in my blog a few times, I hope you like these furry, little friends.
